Baker Tilly Deutschland GmbH (RölfsPartner) Extends Leading Position in the German Audit and Business Consultancy Market

10 Feb 2011

Effective 1 March 2011, RölfsPartner is merging with renowned business consultancy and audit company Richter&Partner, further extending its position as a leading full service consultancy business in Germany.

Further milestones in the firm's growth include the establishment of law firm RölfsPartner Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft, and the acquisition of two renowned recapitalisation teams bringing over 30 professionals to the RölfsPartner Competence Centre Restructuring.

In geographic terms, the firm is extending its presence in southern Germany with the incorporation of offices in Munich and Stuttgart where Richter&Partner currently employs 130 staff. In addition to strengthening the firm's existing services in tax, legal and transaction support, Richter&Partner will bring to the group its expertise in advising high-net-worth individuals, the healthcare industry, charitable foundations and public authorities.

"The addition of Richter&Partner and the new restructuring specialists enable us to substantially strengthen our core competences and further expand our multidisciplinary business base. This means that our clients, particularly those in the SME sector, can benefit further from the holistic services offered by our auditors, tax advisors, business consultants and attorneys. The two firms - RölfsPartner and Richter&Partner - are an exceptionally good match, not only in terms of expertise and structure but also on the interpersonal and human resources side. Consequently, we are ideally placed to generate further growth and meet the future challenges that the market may bring," said Jochen Rölfs, managing partner of RölfsPartner Group.

"The multidisciplinary approach of RölfsPartner enables the group to provide optimum advice and support to clients facing complex business challenges - and our understanding of service provision is identical in that regard. With offices in all of Germany's main economic centres and a strong joint business consultancy capability, we are in a position to provide our clients with an even better overall service," explained Wolfgang Richter, founder of Richter&Partner, who, following the merger, will become a partner on the executive management board of RölfsPartner with responsibility for further developing the group's tax and legal consultancy activities.

With 750 employees and revenues of €120m, RölfsPartner is a leading independent business consultancy and auditing company in Germany.
