Jersey-based Baker Tilly Channel Islands Limited Announces Formation of Baker Tilly CI Audit Limited, Guernsey

Jersey-based Baker Tilly Channel Islands Limited is delighted to announce the formation of Baker Tilly CI Audit Limited, a Guernsey registered company.

While Baker Tilly Channel Islands Limited has worked with clients in Guernsey for a number of years, recent changes in local legislation mean that to continue to audit Guernsey regulated entities an auditor must have a local presence on the Island.

Combined, the Channel Islands Group is able to provide assurance and general advisory, tax compliance and advisory, accounting and trust company services to any Channel Islands-based entity, as well as being recognised auditors.

David Hopkins, managing director of Baker Tilly Channel Islands Group, commented: "This is a natural progression for our firm, and one which demonstrates our commitment to growing all facets of our business within the Channel Islands. It will also give us the opportunity to actively market our services in Guernsey as we continue to develop our teams, something which we haven't previously been able to do".

Initially, Ewan Spraggon will lead the audit and assurance practice in Guernsey: "I am excited to have the opportunity to expand both our local and Baker Tilly International's service offerings in Guernsey. Although we have historically worked with clients based there, we now have the opportunity to target growth and become more active in the local market".
