9 Jun 2014

Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) has been named one of the Best Public Accounting Firms for Women for the fourth consecutive year by the Accounting MOVE Project. The MOVE list is published by Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance and the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA).

"We are honoured to be recognised as a best place to work for women for the fourth year in a row, in recognition of our commitment to significantly enhance the recruitment, retention, development, and advancement of women at Baker Tilly,” said chairman and chief executive officer Timothy Christen. "We are working hard to be the preferred employer of choice with an increasingly diversified and committed workforce allowing us to become America’s finest professional services firm and this recognition is evidence of the progress our team continues to make.”

“Our GROW (Growth and Retention of Women) initiative is a powerful example of the firm’s values in action and we’re honoured to be recognised for these efforts,” said Kim Herlitzka, principal and chair of Baker Tilly’s GROW committee. “Since GROW’s inception, the firm has worked hard to create a culture that helps women reach their fullest potential. Our focus on leadership, professional development, career paths, networking and sharing knowledge, flexibility and other employee benefits, as well as supporting recruitment efforts of talented women, have led to an inclusive environment where women feel valued and inspired.”
