15 Jul 2016
Baker Tilly International’s Board of Directors has appointed new regional chairpersons in the EMEA, Asia Pacific and North America regions.
Commenting on the announcement, Ted Verkade, CEO and president said: “I look forward to working with Bruno, Guan Seng and Fred as we continue to implement our strategy to be recognised as a global network of closely aligned, premier, independent accounting firms serving leading national and global organisations. I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank Daw Ching Foong (Asia Pacific) and Carl Johnson (North America) for their outstanding professional contribution they have made to our network over many years, both at a board and regional level”.
EMEA: Bruno Piazza
As partner of Baker Tilly Revisa (Italy) since 1993, Bruno brings a wealth of experience to the role. Supported by Adam Grainger, EMEA regional director, Bruno will focus on strengthening the network’s African presence and driving international growth across the region.

Asia Pacific: Guan Seng Sim
Daw Ching Foong, the current chairman of the region, will be retiring from that role and standing down as a director of Baker Tilly International following the network’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in October.
Guan Seng Sim, managing partner of Baker Tilly TFW in Singapore, has agreed to take the chairmanship role from that date and will be nominated to join the International Board of Directors at the AGM.
Guan Seng will be supported by Ben Lloyd, Asia Pacific regional director.
North America: Fred Kostecki
Fred Kostecki is the managing partner of the St Louis office of RubinBrown LLP and formerly served as chairman of RubinBrown’s Assurance Services Group.
